Ferran Torres has completed his move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish forward signed a five-year contract with the club until 2031. PSG paid a reported €50 million for the World Cup-winning forward. Torres arrives fresh from scoring Spain’s winning goal in the World Cup final.
Torres leaves Barcelona after four and a half productive seasons in Catalonia. He reunites with Luis Enrique, who previously gave him his international debut. The move continues PSG’s pursuit of continued domestic and European success.
A Dream Move Built On World Cup Heroics
Torres scored the extra-time winner against Argentina in last month’s World Cup final. That strike secured Spain’s second men’s World Cup title in history. He arrived at PSG (1.12) fresh from that remarkable individual and team achievement. Torres will wear the number nine shirt following Goncalo Ramos’ departure to Milan.

Torres made 207 appearances for Barcelona after joining from Manchester City (4.49) in 2022. He scored 65 goals and provided 22 assists during his time there. His final season proved particularly productive, netting 21 times in 49 matches.
Barcelona (1.72) won the league title during that impressive individual campaign overall. Torres won three La Liga titles and one Copa del Rey during his spell. Barcelona thanked him for his commitment across four and a half seasons.
Ambitions Set On Champions League Glory
Torres has never won the Champions League during his club career so far. PSG have lifted the trophy in each of the past two seasons. He described PSG as the ideal club to finally win that elusive trophy.
“We want to win it together,” Torres said regarding his new teammates.
His arrival could also influence Liverpool’s (5.99) pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola. PSG continue rebuilding their attack following several notable departures this transfer window.
