Verstappen started from the front row and immediately overtook pole-sitter Oscar Piastri at Turn 1. He led every lap of the race and crossed the finish line 4.2 seconds ahead of Lando Norris. Verstappen clocked the fastest lap of the day on Lap 36 with a time of 1:16.872, underlining the strength of his pace from start to finish.
McLaren Duo Completes the Podium
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finished second and third, respectively. Norris managed to overtake Piastri in the final laps, showcasing strategic driving and tire management. Despite starting from pole position, Piastri couldn’t maintain his lead but still secured a podium finish, keeping him at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings with 146 points.
